Episode 13 - Wolves are Boring

In which Nile offends a large portion of the fandom, the soundboard dies an honorable death, and contests galore.

Our apologies for the audio quality of this episode.

Congrats to Myst for winning a copy of Portal 2!

NEW CONTEST!!!!!!!

With fabulous prizes!

How to enter:

We're looking for an epic tale to be told... of the certainly spectacular origins of 1337-Four! All you need to enter, is to submit an appropriately lengthed (read: less than 500 words, folks. We aren't asking for a Marvel origin here. >_>) story, about how YOU think this misfit podcast of nerd-rages, shenanigans and occasional half-sober monologues began.

Out of the hundreds, nay, thousands of entries that will surely pour in to our mailboxes full of Six's fan letters, we shall select the top three bestest, brightest, and most noodlerific (read: the one that makes us giggle the most, in a good way), and ultimately choose the winner of these champions. Now, what could possibly be better than having your hard-fought, blood-sweat-and-tears story chosen to stand above the rest, to be read live on the air for throngs to hear (fully voiced by the podcast crew, of course)? How about some fantastic prizes?!

Here's how it works. First place will have their choice of the prize pool, followed by the second place winner, and then the third. As for what prizes are up for grabs? How about some free games? Or a book? Or an art commish? Pretty nice, right? First place has first pick, from either:

-A copy of the Mythical Skies anthology, signed by Reno (Paperback, and available for 18+ only)
-A free avatar commission, from artist SpaceSmilodon
-A choice of free Steam games, including titles such as Dungeon Defenders and Terraria
-A chance to appear on the 'cast as a special guest!

You can enter by linking us to your story on Twitter, @1337fourpodcast, or by sending an email to 1337four@gmail.com, or by following the profile links below and sending any one of us a PM.

Deadline for entries is December 15th, give or take a few days, and given the scope of rewards, we're not really asking much, so let's see some extra floofy entries!

GLHF!

  1. Aww.... No mentioned of the metroid games. There were awesome games for the handhelds, most notably metroid 2 and zero mission.

  2. They were indeed! But, fear not, there will be a whole podcast for Metroid soon enough. :D

  3. Ah, must have missed it then. Metroid is and always will be one of my personal favorite game series. I could talk for hours on it if the topic ever came up in a discussion >.>
